Best Carry-On Luggages

This summer I am headed on many trips and wanted to find what I consider “the worlds best carry on” to make sure it would last me through a busy week in New York and 5 weeks in Europe. I took to the internet and especially Facebook friends to get the best advice and here is what I have found!

My biggest advice:

  1. Read the reviews. Yes, there are always people out there who have bad experiences and sometimes there are bad products but do try and take them to heart on how many people reviewed it based off the total number of reviews.
  2. Read the warranty policies. Many of the warranty policies say something about only things that involve “workmanship” of the product and not regular wear and tear can be replaced. That is something I think that is important to consider if anything were to happen to your luggage especially within the first few trips using your suitcase.
  3. Measure your luggage when you get it. There have been a lot of issues of manufactures measuring the “body” of the luggage and not the “outside” of the luggage which is what really matters for airlines. Every airline has their policies laid out on the internet so make sure you do your research before you head out with it.
  4. Pick features that are important to you. For me I’ve discovered the 4 wheel spinner is something I need after dragging around a 2 wheel one for years. Hard shell vs. soft shell it’s your opinion!

Cheapest:

This bag is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. The Samsonite brand has overall great reviews with the amount of products they have. The plus side, they are half of the price and right now they are having an AWESOME sale on their products. They have hard shell carry on’s and also soft shell one’s that have front pockets for extra packing storage. Their online website made it hard to read the bad reviews which was annoying but don’t worry I look on other retail stores websites. The plus side, retailers like Macy’s have a lot of their exact luggage but on sale. Find the one you want and head to their site to get a better deal as well! They are also on amazon, aka 2 day shipping!

Middle Price:

Travel Pro: This luggage is a great have at the price. When over 200+ people have taken time out of their day to give it 5 stars I consider that a win. They sell all of their luggages through wholesalers like Amazon or Macy’s, the coolest thing I think is that they have their own OUTLET website!! Outlet= better discounts.  They are mostly soft shell bags but that means tons of compartments for all the different things you need for travel. It is about a pound heavier than most if that concerns you. This luggage is great for those long weekend trips you might take multiple times a year.

Honorable Mention: Rick Steve’s luggage. The travel guru created his own luggage set. It is not currently in stock many places and his website didn’t have the best reviews but if it comes back on the market definitely an option!

Most Expensive:

This is the BEST carry on suit case but it comes at a beautiful price tag of $225. BUT if you travel at least 1-2 times a month this might be a good investment for you. The AWAY bag didn’t have a single review less than 3 stars out of 508 reviews, which I think is pretty impressive. It has the hardshell which reduces defects of the suitcase during travel. Also the absolute best feature is the fact is that the suitcase has a phone charger built into it! AMAZING! No more going to sketchy plugs at weird parts of the airport to get that charge in on the go. Also I love the color schemes. They are very different so you can easily pick out which on is your bag if you decided to check it!
