DC Cuisine

Going to DC on a budget there are some nights that we saved a little bit and just did our local thing and went to Chipotle ( we pretty much live there) but on the other nights we took recommendations from our friend at what local places were the best.

Affordable Italian

White Sangria at Sette Osteria

On our first night we went to Sette Osteria which is located in Dupont Circle about a 10 minute walk from where we were staying. I ordered a lovely white sangria that tasted just like summer and had me wanting more but I resisted the urge. Their meals also come with free bread (um hello free plus to any restaurant) and you could tell it was 100% homemade dough and it was delightful. I then ate the amazing DI PROSCIUTTO E RUCOLA pizza and I was so hungry from our drive up that I forgot to document it because it was shoveled down my throat, but I tell ya it was amazing.

Incroyable French Cuisine

Being a French teacher and all around French lover we HAD to try out Le Diplomate . It was just as amazing as I thought that we ended up going there twice because it was just THAT GOOD. It had an amazing atmosphere and it was still decorated for the holidays making it just as cute and french cafe like as it could be.

Delicious King Crab Leg and Crispy Side of Fries

Mussels and Fries

I had a trend of getting seafood both nights but both dishes with a glass of Pinot Blanc makes any meal parfait!
