North Chattanooga Hideaway Stay

I first visited Chattanooga over 10 years ago l for a softball tournament. During my first experience didn’t include much exploring outside the ballpark. As an adult, Chattanooga has been high on my list to visit, as it is only a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, making it a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. We stayed at the North Chattanooga Hideaway and it was the perfect location to enjoy all the city of Chattanooga has to offer.

I fell in love with North Chattanooga Hideaway, as it is centrally located to great restaurants and shopping. It also offers many indoor amenities once you are done exploring the city. Nestled just north of the quaint city of Chattanooga, North Chattanooga Hideaway is the perfect place for friends, couples or families to explore the city. Join me as we explore the city of Chattanooga and why this charming Chattanooga accommodation should be on your radar.

Things to do near North Chattanooga Hideaway:

One of the best perks of this location is that you are walking distance to some of the best shopping in the city. A 15-20 minute walk from the house is the northshore shopping district. Frazier Ave has tons of great shops and cafes to pop in and out of. I visited Collective Clothing, Winder Binder, and Ugly Duck vintage. Of course, I came out of the bookstore with a few new picks.

Just past Frazier Ave is the famous Walnut Street Bridge. This iconic bridge offers stunning views of the Tennessee river. It also connects you to the downtown part of the city.

Close to the Walnut Street Bridge in Chattanooga is the stunning Hunter Museum of Art. The Hunter Museum is one of the best in the country. It is filled with art that is easy to digest and beautiful to look at. Its permanent collection displays American Art from the 1700s through present day. It also has a unique rotation of exhibitions featuring a variety of artwork. Each piece of art has explanations of the work on placards. Also, The Hunter Museum dives into its unique history, the building’s construction and the impact of the area around it over the years.

For those looking for an outdoor activity, there are beautiful hikes and a quick car ride from the North Chattanooga Hideaway. I recommended The North Chickamauga Creek Gorge, Edwards Point Overlook and Rainbow Falls. Each hike offers stunning views and is a moderate difficulty level.

Dining Options near North Chattanooga Hideaway:

For breakfast, I recommend  the Aretha Frankenstines. It is a classic Chattanooga spot, so don’t be afraid of the long lines. It is worth the wait for their spicy grits and the fluffy pancakes.

For lunch, head no further than Tremont Tavern for the best burger in Chattanooga. My wagyu burger paired with their delectable tater tots kept me full for the rest of the day.

For dinner, The Rosecomb was my favorite spot to dine in Chattanooga. Unique cocktails paired with their small, but hearty food options were all divine. The Rosecomb’s cozy interior and garden allow for you to enjoy a delightful 21+ dining experience.
